Learn how to reprogram your nervous system and beliefs so you can finally feel safe receiving more

Your friend who's constantly attracting wealthy older men and the friend who's constantly attracting the worst guys you've ever met are actually doing the exact same thing.
We attract things into our realities that we are comfortable with, that deep down we feel like we deserve. Your subconscious's number one priority is keeping you safe, even if that means attracting the same type of person over and over—a familiar devil versus an unfamiliar heaven. Money works the exact same way.

What are your earliest memories when it comes to money?
It’s easy to think about money only in the physical, practical sense—how hard can I grind? How many hours can I work? But our deeper relationship with money is often just the same story being reflected back to us over and over. When you think about money, what’s the earliest memory that comes to mind? What’s the strongest, most emotional one? Maybe you remember your parents fighting in the kitchen over bills. Maybe you clearly recall kids at school teasing you about 'daddy’s money.' Take it one step farther, how do you think hearing or feeling that during your formative years (positive or negative) might have shaped the way you still think about money to this day?
This can look like living in constant fear of losing it all even if you're in a stable place. Feeling the need to hide your success because you're afraid people will judge you. Even feeling like the only way to feel safe is to marry a rich partner.
When you find those potent memories you have to go back and do some rewiring—through journaling, EFT tapping, therapy—or sometimes even just acknowledging the money wound will loosen things up. The intention is to show your subconscious mind that you are safe in your current reality, maybe even safe enough to deserve more.

Rewriting the money wound is all about creating safety.
To show your subconscious that it’s safe—especially when you’re releasing old money wounds and calling in more abundance—you need to create a sense of familiarity and safety around the new beliefs you're trying to embody.
Repetition + Emotion (a.k.a. Reprogramming)
Your subconscious learns through repetition and emotional intensity. This means:
Affirmations, but not just flat ones—use ones that feel true or within reach. Instead of “I’m rich,” try “It’s safe for me to receive more money” or “I’m learning to feel secure with money.”
Pair affirmations with visualization. Picture yourself checking your bank account and feeling calm. Visualize paying bills with ease or treating yourself without guilt.
Safety in the Nervous System
Your body and subconscious are deeply connected. If your nervous system is dysregulated, abundance will feel unsafe no matter how much mindset work you do. Try:
EFT Tapping (Emotional Freedom Technique) to help your body release stored fear.
Breathwork or somatic practices to regulate your response to money stress.
Small, safe exposures: Give yourself experiences of abundance in manageable doses (a fancy coffee, a luxe-feeling bath, a small splurge) and notice that nothing bad happens.
Rewrite the Story
Time is technically an illusion meaning when somebody in 7th grade made fun of you your brain still feels like that was today. Your subconscious still thinks the past is happening now (hello lying awake at night thinking about something you said in middle school). Go back to those core money memories and:
Journal from your current self to your younger self. Let her know she’s safe now.
Write a new version of the memory. Imagine it ending in a way that leaves you feeling good about yourself and empowered. This is the plus side to your brain not understanding time, if you tell it enough times that this is how the memory ended it will start to believe it. You're almost gaslighting yourself into healthier memories.
Take Aligned Action
How would your future self act around money? She's probably investing, saving, and spending in a way that feels good. Show your subconscious you're different now by taking small steps that embody abundance:
Save $100 and celebrate it.
Ask to be paid more and survive the discomfort.
Go get one drink in a bar much fancier than you're used to.
Start learning about investing, the best time to get started is today.
Surround Yourself With New Evidence
Your subconscious needs proof. Curate your inputs:
Follow people who talk about money in expansive, healthy ways.
Acknowledge every bit of money that comes in, even if it’s $2—it’s evidence of abundance.
Abundance can mean more than just money, try to appreciate when you have an abundance of time, of options, of blueberries in your muffin.
Celebrate others’ success instead of shrinking—it tells your subconscious, “That’s possible for me, too.” This one is huge, especially for women. If you see someone's success, a vacation, or raise on social media and immediately have a pang of jealousy, try to gently redirect your thoughts into, "This a sign that I want that too, good for them."
Think of it like you're re-parenting your inner self around money. You’re saying, “Hey, I’ve got us now. It’s safe to grow. It’s safe to have more.” The more you reinforce that message—gently, consistently, and with compassion—the more your subconscious will start to believe it.
