What we’re loving (and leaving) this month.

I live for an intentional fresh start—and the beautiful thing is, you can have that new year feeling any time you want. Beginning of June, beginning of summer, beginning of some new habits and outlooks. Here’s what made the Evrgreen Ins & Outs list for June (and hint, it involves a lot of indulging).

Tanning & Summer Reads
Tanning—with an asterisk.* Tanning beds? Out. Laying in the sun with a summer romance novel, slathered in Kopari Shimmer Sun Shield? Very much in. Leave your phone in the house—it’s giving retro beach summer: smutty paperbacks, oversized towels, and golden tans.

Party Trucker Hats
I’m obsessed with hat bars right now. They’re cute little shops where you can personalize a cowboy hat or trucker with patches, charms, chains, and custom branding. Adorable. Unique. And the perfect girls' day out.

Juicy Lip Butters
Summer isn't the season for matte lips, high-maintenance glosses, or—worst of all—dry, cracked Summer lips. Enter, lip butters. They're having a major moment right now (see: Summer Fridays, Dior, and e.l.f.). Think of them as the perfect hybrid—glossy like a lip gloss, but with the deep hydration of slathering on Vaseline.

Shopping Local
Amazon is out—your local boutiques are in. One of the biggest themes this season, from rising tariffs to neighborhood pride, is shifting the spotlight away from convenience and back onto American-made and small business. And that shift starts with you.
Sure, it’s easy to hit "Buy Now" and get it by morning, but pause for a second: what businesses do your friends own? What shops & farmers markets have you been meaning to stop at every time you drive by? Where are you picking up your sunscreen, bikinis, and seltzers for summer?
