Some reasons are grounded in history and fact—others lean into speculation, but they’re worth considering. From national security concerns to cultural suppression, religious influence, and even the threat to traditional power structures, there are several possible explanations for why knowledge about the true power of the mind has been filtered, hidden, or dismissed.

National Security and Power Control

When it comes to things like remote viewing, energy work, or human consciousness, if it does work—even just a little—that would be a massive strategic advantage. Governments tend to classify or suppress anything that might:

Be weaponized
Give another country an edge
Challenge the current understanding of reality (which can destabilize trust in institutions)

So, they experiment in secret, just in case, and don’t share unless it’s useful or no longer relevant.

It Disrupts the Narrative

Our modern world is built on a very materialist worldview: what’s real is what you can see, measure, and replicate. But if people start believing they can tap into universal consciousness, influence reality with intention, or access information psychically... it challenges science, religion, medicine, and economics all at once.

That kind of shift threatens institutions that thrive on people being disconnected from their own power.

They Don’t Understand It Themselves

Systems like mass marketing, politics, and fear-driven media news cycles rely on people being in survival mode—not tuning into their higher self or questioning reality. So if ancient knowledge or intuitive abilities are real? That makes you a threat to the system.

That said, it’s also true that a lot is coming to light now—and we’re in a unique moment where curiosity is overtaking fear. More people are asking questions like ours, and that’s exactly how things start to shift.
